Teah Anders, Arroyo Grande, CA

Teah attended her first Intro to NW Seminar in CA in 2009 and immediately decided that this was a sport she wanted to share with her many dog training clients.  After attending classes with the founders in LA for a year, Teah earned her CNWI certification in summer of 2010.  She added the NW curriculum to her classes at Gentle Touch Pet Training where she has been successfully teaching many dog enthusiasts positive dog training since 1999.  She currently has a large NW program with a total of four CNWI on staff.

Teah is a NACSW Certifying Official (CO) for trials.  She is also a frequent trial Host having hosted many trials since 2010.  In addition, she is a CO and judge for NACSW Odor Recognition Tests (ORTs).  Teah is a strong proponent of continuing education and hosts several NW seminars per year at her facility with NACSW NW instructors.  Teah has also thoroughly enjoyed instructing at NW Camps sponsored by Dogs of Course & NACSW in CO, PA and GA.  Teah is a Certified Mental Management Instructor (Level III) through Mental Management Systems in Texas.  Since 2013 she has traveled the US sharing Mental Management concepts with clients who compete in dog sports, especially NW, helping them perform at an optimal level, consistently under pressure.

She is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers and is a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT).  In 2008, Teah published a comprehensive dog training book entitled, “Click ‘n Connect: Training Your Dog a Lifelong Journey.”  In In addition to teaching classes in her favorite sport, K9 Nose Work, Teah teaches puppy, elementary, intermediate and reactive dog classes at her facility. She also offers private in-home training and behavioral consultations.

She is currently competing in Nose Work with two of her dogs, Shamie, an English Cocker at the Elite level and Dipity, a Pug, is just starting in NW.  Teah lives with her husband, Chuck, six dogs and two llamas in Arroyo Grande, CA.
