Nancy Reyes has been a professional dog trainer for the past 30 years.  She began her love affair with animals when she was very young.  Over the years she found that she enjoyed training dogs and learning more about animal behavior.

In 2004 Nancy decided it was time to venture out on her own and opened For Your K9 Inc.  For Your K9 offers a wide variety of classes including Obedience, Agility, Canine Freestyle, Rally Obedience, Tracking, Conformation and of course, K9 Nose Work.  Nancy’s training philosophy is focused on developing and strengthening the bond between people and their dogs.  She believes that good communication and mutual respect are key for the success of any relationship.  Her approach is based on her mentor and teacher, Suzanne Clothier’s Relationship Centered Training.

Before K9 Nose Work came on the scene, scent work has always been a big part of her business with tracking and scent work classes. In 2010 when K9 Nose Work came to the Midwest it was has become a wonderful addition to her business.  Nancy is a trial host and seminar presenter. Her focus is on teaching and developing the bond people and their dogs. She is currently competing in K9 Nose Work with her GSD, Cha Cha and starting her two new additions Jive, a Labrador Retriever and Tango, a GSD in nose work.

Nancy lives in Chicago with her husband, Gonzalo, and their 5 dogs which range from Miniature Pinscher’s to a German Shepherds and 2 cats.
