Linda became hooked on Nose Work in 2011 when she saw how much it helped her very active -- and very dog-reactive -- American Field Labrador. It not only settled him, but it was a fantastic and safe outlet for his high energy levels, and he LOVED it from the very first class. In 2015 she became a Certified Nose Work Instructor, an NACSW Judge in 2023, and an NACSW Certifying Official in 2024.

Linda competed with her prior dog through the Summit level and continues to enjoy competing with her current mix-breed dog, in addition to volunteering frequently. She is fascinated by all the different ways that odor behaves, and by watching how all the amazing dogs solve these complex odor puzzles. She teaches Nose Work classes through Palo Alto Dog Training LLC, and continues to further her education through classes, seminars, workshops, and Nose Work camps.

Linda lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband who competes with his own Nose Work dog and is also a Certified Nose Work Instructor and NACSW Judge. It is a total Nose Work household!
