Diane Baley started training in Nose Work in 2009 and quickly developed a passion for the sport which remains today. She has enjoyed training and competing with 4 of her own dogs, all labradors, to various levels. In 2011 she started teaching and going through the instructor training process. She became certified as an instructor in 2013, has coached several teams to their elite championship, and is currently teaching numerous classes each week.
For the past 30 years Diane has participated in a variety of dog sports where she has soaked up educational opportunities wherever she can. Everything from Chicken Camp to Nose Work Camp, as well as learning theory, behavioral study, and every aspect of scent work information she can find. Continuing education is a top priority for her.
Diane has been involved in all aspects of Nose Work trials including judging, hosting, volunteer coordinator, and all other volunteer jobs. Her husband is a Score Room Lead and they have enjoyed traveling and working together at various events.
She continues to delight in watching dogs do what comes naturally to them while a special communication bond develops between handler and dog created by this sport.
