An NACSW Trial is mostly staffed by volunteers. Check-in attendants, gate stewards, timers, judge's stewards, etc. - are all volunteers. Trial volunteers help keep down the costs to compete, they also make the trial experience more fun with their passion and enthusiasm for helping competitors stay stress-free and focused on searching with their dogs.
As a trial volunteer you get the chance to see how a trial works, to see a number of dogs work the same search element, and to make friends within the K9 Nose Work community.
If you are interested in volunteering at a trial, check the trial calendar and you'll find host and volunteer sign-up information for each event.
